As a rule, reviews of works published in the last two years are acceptable, although, given the importance and relevance of a review, this limit can be extended. Reviews should cover between 1,000 and 2,000 words. They must be preceded by the complete reference of the book, in the following order: Author, title, publisher, place of publication, year of publication and number of pages.

Peer review process

RELECTIONES only publishes articles that have the favourable opinion of the members of the Journal’s Editorial Board, for which the double-blind peer review is used.

The article must first pass a formal review to ensure that it complies with the Publication Standards. Otherwise, the article will be returned for adaptation following the Journal’s guidelines.

Acceptance will require a positive review of an expert of the Editorial Board, maintaining anonymity in the review process of both the author and the reviewer. This double-blind peer review will determine acceptance, acceptance with reservations or non-acceptance of the paper. If accepted with reservations the article will be returned to the author for adaptation according to the suggestions of the reviewer. Once this has been completed, the article will be returned to the Journal for a new peer review process.

The same author will not be able to publish more than one article in consecutive numbers.

The Journal will send an acknowledgement of receipt of the received papers and, once reviewed, will inform the interested party of its acceptance or, if rejected, will return it. The Editorial Board reserves the right to publish the articles reviewed positively in the issue of the Journal deemed most appropriate.

Authors must submit their articles to RELECTIONES through this platform. This submission implies the assignment of all the rights for its future diffusion.

Publication frequency

The Journal is published annually in both print and digital editions. However, in the digital version—and technical means permitting—, articles will be published separately, as and when the Editorial Board has reviewed and approved them to facilitate their dissemination in benefit of the authors, the Journal and the entire Scientific community in general.

The subject matter of each issue will be announced as soon as the Editorial Board has met, which will be after the previous issue has been published. The tendency, however, will be to work gradually and make a simultaneous call for papers facilitating researchers to publish their work.
